It’s that time again! Today Pretty Lights dropped the second EP in the trilogy of releases for this year, and as always, it’s totally free! Definitely one of my favorite artists, as I’m sure is for any of you who have heard their music previously. Once again this release comes full of brilliant, brilliant music and I cannot recommend this enough, it’s a 10/10 once again. Support this guy and check out the back catalog on their site it seriously is epic stuff!

Slugabed is probably my favourite musician in the whole whomp, wonky, glitch, whatever it is being called these days, movement and I’ve been following him since the first track I heard a few years back. So I was pretty happy to see him tweet about a free track last night. 20ShotSequence posted up the free track along with a list of Top 5’s from Slugabed. Grab the free track and pick up the EP it’s featured on if you fancy too!

Stereogum just posted up another track of Baths debut album, this time the track Lovely Bloodflow is being given away as a free mp3. This track is probably my favourite track of the album, I can’t get enough of those falsetto tones. If you haven’t already got the album Cerulean and like what you hear I’d definitely recommend you make a purchase. I’ve had the album on repeat since it dropped!
GangColours - Chance Meeting

So, we’re lucky enough to have another exclusive today!
This time it’s the turn of Southampton-based producer, GangColours, who’s gifted us a beauty of a track. Having first heard his stuff at the beginning of the year off the back of a tip from a friend, Will Ozanne has been refining his understated, varied, and at times melancholic take on post-garage/post-whatever electronica. And it seems we’re not the only ones who’ve noticed… with a couple GangColours tracks sneaking their way onto Gilles Peterson’s Radio 1 show in recent months.
The track we’ve managed to get our grubby mitts on is entitled ‘Chance Meeting’ and has shades of the forlorn minimalism of Trentemoller, whilst still showing signs of the bass-centric UK-underground from which it emerged. And although sparse throughout, by its end the track builds momentum and evolves into an almighty, rumbling low-end roller!

This new track mixes a teeth shattering bass line with a live drum sound that would rattle the chest cavity of even the most hardcore raver! The track comes from his newly released single on Error Broadcast who have been putting out some amazing music for the past few years, if you’re unfamiliar with the label definitely have a snoop round their site as there are many free treats available to you on there.
