“Being in Japan was such an adventure. I spent a month there in November 2009 and the whole time I was bouncing around with different groups of friends and musicians. It was beautiful. The weather was just starting to get cold out there, but the sun was still out every morning around 8am. My host went to work pretty early so every few days after he had left I would take time to walk the streets of his area. I had never eaten so well or felt so at peace with a place before. When I came home I made ‘Personal Winter’ and instantly got sucked back into those early mornings…really missing the hell out of that place…” -Teebs

The people over at Melting Pot Music sent us this belter through the e-mail this morning. BRZZVLL are a 7 piece fusion band from Antwerp and have just dropped the limited edition yellow vinyl 7” on MPM. You can also download the A side for free here. The original is mad nice too but for me the Ampersand remix just took the track to a whole new level, proper shut down music, listened to it over a few times already today!

Also keep an eye on the site tomorrow YSK is one year old tomorrow and there may be special treats, keep them peepers peeled!

Bit late on posting this I know but I’ve only just seen it for free download over at 92bpm. I’ve been following B.Bravo since I heard Midnite off his Analog Starship EP and have gotten everything he’s put his name to since. If you haven’t heard the name you need to go a grab his two EPs straight away, you wont be disappointed. The track for download today is off his second EP which is also called Computer Love and is probably my favourite of his two EPs but all his material is more than worth checking!

We just got given Dark Sky - Frames EP through the e-mail this morning and I’ve already listened to it through a few times, such amazing beats. The people at Pictures Music were kind enough to give us a track from the EP to give to you lucky people. The track is Night Light, which is probably my favourite track off the EP, it has a kinda future garage feel mixed with a whoomp bass and some clanging synth leads making it perfect for to skank out to. The guys over at Moovmnt put this free beat tape from B.Lewis out early last month. I’ve had it downloaded for a while but only just got round to listening to it the past fews days, I regret not getting it up sooner, such a bangin’ little beat tape. My personal favourite track is What it Do Donkey? mixing a lovely vocal soul sample with the electronic feel and Dilla-esk drums. Not really a weak track on here which is saying something when the the amount of beats on this tape. Well worth a listen then if you’re feeling it check more B.Lewis treats after the jump!

You know we love Dibiase, so we we’re juiced to see that Alpha Pup have dropped this free mp3 of ‘Lumberjack’ which is featured on his first full release titled Machines Hate Me’. Can’t wait for this one to drop!

“Machines Hate Me” represents the most complete and fully realized iteration of Dibiase’s work. Lead single “Lumberjack” leans toward his psychedelic soul side, creating an orchestral maze more reminiscent of J Dilla than a flannel-clad forest dweller (presumably, it derived its name from his facility at chopping samples.) Yet it reflects only one facet of the producer, with the full-length fleshing him out further as a California cognate to Hyperdub’s Ikonika — one of the best at creating soundtracks that balance between the futuristic and the days when saving the princess was your primary concern.
