Mount Kimbie are one of our favourite acts at the moment and we’ve been following them religiously since the release of their Maybes EP early last year. They release their debut album ‘Crooks and Lovers’ tomorrow on Hotflush Recordings and we were lucky enough to recieve a promo copy.

The album has been on constant rotation and got me through a dissertation and some revison! There is not a bad track across the whole album and it has quite a varied range of styles, from more club based anthems like ‘Blind Night Errand’ to tracks like ‘Carbonated’ which sounds like it could have been lifted off the duo’s first EP. ‘Field’ (the track we have been allowed to feature as a free download for you lucky people) is quite different from any other track off the album and has a steady build up before it gets going with the usual Mount Kimbie goodness which weve grown to love! If you’re a fan of the Mount Kimbie sound I’d definately recommend you purchase the album when it drops tomorrow, you wont be disappointed!
