So we’ve decided to start a new weekly feature here at You’ll Soon Know entitled You Should Know where we will post up some older stuff that you may have missed out on the first time round! The first Installment is Dorian Concept’s Nouns and the Relevance of Wood from the project168 series in which producers were required to make an EP in a week. This EP is a few years old now but is worth the download, if you’ve missed out previously, for the first track alone ‘A Huge Hello You Look Good Thank You’ which is all improvised on his micro korg except the drums which are sequenced… it’s so good, wait for after the drop! Also if you get chance go see Dorian Concept live, I saw him at Brainfeeder earlier this year and he is one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen!

We have friends all over the world. Oliver is one of them. When he comes to Glasgow we pack out the club for him, turn out the lights and turn him up. He wakes up in the park when he stays here, drinking late with Joe beside the picnic benches and apple blossom in Kelvingrove. Hell, when he played Sonar I think we filled rows two and three with Glasgow folks going nuts. So know this: when we asked Dorian Concept to come stay with us over New Years Eve, to play our sold out party at Stereo with Numbers, and provide a soundtrack to the year ahead in the form of this here mixtape, we didn’t take it lightly. This is an artist who has blown us away in 2009. Thank you Oliver. Buckfast on us. Here’s to the exxes.

Dorian Concept is pretty much my favourite producer to see live, seen him a few times and it’s been so good each time, dude is crazy on the keys! Here he is taking on a remix of PVT (formerly Pivot) that Warp are giving you for free, pretty chilled feel to this, nice for a lovely summery day like today!
