Download: Com Truise - Pyragony
Download: Com Truise - Cyanide Sisters
This should really have been a normal post but for some reason I forgot to post this even though It’s been one of my favorite things of 2010. So today I’m posing up some Com Truise heat as a ‘You Should Know’, as you really should by now!
I guess this post is also relevant as it was only recently that he was picked up by Ghostly as their latest addition to an already incredible lineup of artists. His first track to come out was an extended version of Cyanide Sisters on the Ghostly compilation and no doubt there are plenty more to follow.
When trying to describe the music words almost pass me by, but this shit is basically incredible. For the most part it’s like slow funk synthtastic epicness? Really it’s very unique and 80’s sounding but I can’t put it under one genre. Some of the tracks have a more IDM feel, some a more beat style makeup, either way these two releases alone are off the chain. Tracks like Pyragony will pretty much leave you with your jaw open, it’s beautiful music at it’s finest.
Although he has been making music under different aliases for quite a while now, I think Com Truise is going to be a big hit in 2011, check out the tunes, pretty sure you’re going to love them if you’ve not already checked them out, enjoy.

Download: Musique Large 2007-2010
Musique Large has been one of my favorite labels of the last few years, releasing solid and continually awesome music from artists such as Fulgeance, Débruit, Charles Trees, Ghislain Poirier and many more. We have also featured many of their La Mixette tapes showcasing mixes from some of the finest in the business. Now they have just released their first free LP showcasing some of the finest tracks from the last 3 years and yes… it’s a banger!
Musique Large© is proud to offer a first compilation as free download, to present some of the best LARGE releases & artistes like Ghislain Poirier, Débruit, Fulgeance, Baron Rétif & Concepcion Perez, Charles Trees and some pure fire remixes from Dorian Concept & Huess.
Happy New “Large” Year & “bon appetit”!

Download: Shigeto - Untitled 2007 (A tribute to R.D.J)
Shigeto’s album was a highlight of 2010 and we have been loving his creations for a long time. Here is a little throwback from him to something he made in 2007, it’s really nice, as you would expect.
Made this in 2007 with a friend of mine. thought it would make a fun Christmas download. hope y’all enjoy it. haha.

Download: Pretty Lights - Glowing In The Darkest Night
So excited to be posting this as always with new Pretty Lights music, you just know it’s gonna be killer! This is the third and final EP in the series they have being posting for free throughout the year.
Incredible stuff as always, seriously this is instrumental hip-hop / trip-hop / downtempo / uptempo (yeah whatever it is, haha) music at it’s finest. If you’re missing any of their previous downloads be sure to go cop them all!
Find their tour dates and more on their Facebook page.

Download: Oliver Daysoul - Mr. Saint Louis EP
You should all know about Oliver Daysoul from his work alongside Heralds of Change, Hudson Mohawke and Onra, just to name a few. Now he’s teamed up with Oddisee to put out this dope free EP! Together they are known as ‘Olivier Saint Louis’ and have here produced some beautiful vocal tracks and summery vibes that are a must listen. Instrumentals also included, awesome stuff!
Some words from Oddisee
I’ve always felt fortunate when it comes to the artist I have at my disposal. They’re talented, dedicated, self sufficient and above all, they’re my friends. For those of you who don’t know, Olivier Saint Louis aka “Olivier Daysoul” is one of my best friends & has been for sometime. We came together on this project to bring you something we started when we first met, a soul project. Our careers have taken us down many paths but we’ve always wanted to write, produce & record classic material. The first 1,000 downloads are free, after that it will be available for “name your own price”.

Download: Teebs - Anchor Steam
Too much good music floating about today and I still have some more treats to post later! Anyway here is a dope track by Teebs featured on All Citys latest LA 10” Series # 6. The release is a split between himself and Daedelus and as you would expect it’s a great listen.
You also must not forget Teebs’ full length (and totally incredible LP, trust me I’ve heard it) Ardour is out on Brainfeeder a week tomorrow! (via)
Bonus beat also featured on the release: Download: Daedelus - Fates Say (via)

Download: Jus Wan - Miles Away
In a similar vain to the DJG releases we posted last week here is another pay-what-you-want album, this time from Jus Wan. The San Fransisco producer has been making incredible tunes for a long while now and I can also safely say he has produced one of my all time favorite 140bpm tracks, Action Potential.
Have a listen to this treat and sample the deeper more melodic sound of dubstep (and a few other downtempo / beat tracks such as the great ‘In Your Orbit’), it’s definitely a personal favorite for the week. You can also check out an interview he just did with Sonic Router in which it saddens me to read that this could be his last stint with music, a great shame if so.

I’m a huge fan of Om Unit, if you couldn’t already tell by my tweets about his weekly Ustream show (which by the way is on a Wednesday evening and you need to check out). Anyway the Corridor EP this track is taken off has been a long time coming, I mean it should have originally dropped more than 4 months ago, but I’m just glad to finally get my mitts on it! Every track has a distinct feel and is hard to even single into a ‘genre’, it’s just Om Unit and I love it - I’m pretty sure you will too, check this out and do yourself a favor and grab the whole EP. I also highly recommend you check out his other releases! (via)

Download: Teebs - Why Like This? (.mp3)
Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint is putting out some of the best music at the moment and seem to be snapping up the most amazing beat heads, artists and musicians to drop albums, Teebs is the next producer set to have a release on the label and this is a sample for you all to hear! His new Ardour album is set to drop on the 19th of October and this track happens to be the lead single, titled ‘Why Like This?’. We have both had a listen to the full album and first impressions are top notch, really beautiful music, definitely a favorite of ours for the year already!
Ardour was made during two major periods of Teebs’ life. Having just lost his job and with little to no money, Teebs moved into the same apartment complex as Flying Lotus and shared living quarters with another Brainfeeder affiliate, Samiyam. It was here that the beginning stages and one-half of Ardour were created. Before Teebs was aware his album was showing itself, his father who had been terminally ill, passed away. He moved back home and stopped making music. After an arduous period where he ceased work on the album altogether, Teebs was able to regain focus and finish the album at home.
Bonus Beat: Teebs - Arthur’s Birds

I was lucky enough to catch Lorn over in London for Brainfeeder, and again at the Rhythm Factory this past weekend. The man has his beats down to a T and his live show is about as thumping as it gets! I’m still pumped on what I got to hear and so was excited to see a tweet containing this little freebie. Anyway this is about as deep as it gets music wise, ambient, subby, beat-less and moody. Something different for sure…
