Cut is a new net based label started up by DFRNT. Their aim is to provide free music with an emphasis on quality. They plan on putting out free regular releases spanning across electronic bass music, including Dubstep, Drum and Bass and Future Garage. This first release features some of our favourite artists such as Lung (who’s Facebook page I first saw this release on) and DFRNT himself. I look forward to seeing future releases from this label, as DFRNT has a become known for his quality output of free music.

Take two of the things we missed. Now, I don’t know all that much about Photek, was never really a big fan drum and bass myself beyond the odd tune or artist. Tim, however, tells me he’s quite a big name and made some good music. He’s gone for more of a dubstep/brainfeeder sound on this new track of his and it works really well. I’m really feeling it, need to hear more stuff like this from him! (via)
DJG - Voids
Holy shit, this is dope! I knew it was coming but forgot today was the day. DJG has just dropped Voids, two EP’s both featuring 6 dope dubstep tracks (mainly) from the more deeper side of the spectrum. No minimum price means the tracks are technically free, but I highly suggest you throw the man some dollars - this is a real real treat (as I’m sure any of you who own DJG tracks on digital or vinyl already know) Definitely one of my favorite things I’ve posted so far this year, I cannot big it up enough. I’ve got a feeling I’ll be playing these out and in my bedroom a lot over the coming weeks, incredible music - not one to be missed.

Beautiful drum and bass from ASC. I hesitate to even call this ‘Drum and Bass’ it really is so different, it’s more on the Autonomic vibe that Instra:mental and dBridge are pushing so heavily right now. There is lots of space in the music and nice beats mixed alongside great sounds, it almost sounds like downtempo hip-hop at times. I am ALL about this mix, it’s definitely worth checking out know matter what you’re ‘into’, I think it will open up some new tempos to your ears. Enjoy!

Fact magazine has been putting out mixes weekly from the best artists for a while now. I literally download all of them, but we can’t possibly post them all up on the site.. this week though I thought I would drop a reminder to you guys to keep an eye out and posted this smasher from the man they call Breakage. His name is popping up all over the shops lately with a string of releases but he has been around making waves and original sounds for years and years.
