Whist checking out Nutriot, I came across this track from London-based producer, Kelpe. Lots of dark filtered and reverbed keys combined with muffled live instrumentation… somewhere between Dorian Concept, Burial and Bonobo, but on an off-kilter beatsy tip. Definitely worth checking out.

Nihon Kizuna - Bonus Release
I hope you all saw and managed to donate to the original Nihon Kizuna release which has raised $20,000 for Japan following their terrible tsunami and earthquake. The release featured an insane amount of amazing music and producers to create one hell of an compilation.
Well after hitting the 20k target they dropped the bonus edition as promised and that is available now. Unlike the previous which was $10, this is a pay what you like release - I for one will be donating as it is for a great cause, I suggest you try to as well if possible.
This release features 34 tracks by the likes of.. wait for it, +Verb, Blue Daisy, Dizz1, Jay Scarlett, Kelpe, Machinedrum, Mweslee, Powell, Young Montana? and so many more!

One of my favorite musical experiences ever was seeing Eliot Lipp & Lipp Service at Low End in both NYC and LA. I’m a huge fan of his work especially the Beamrider LP, but he has been on such a consistent level for so many years. Needless to say I was pretty stoked when we got sent over a fresh remix by Mux Mool a few days ago. Turns out after lagging for a few days with work and not reading the email properly that it was part of a full release titled ‘Brolabs’, where homies had remixed a bunch of Eliots tunes. Remixers include Kelpe, who you know is fucking dope, Mux Mool as I mentioned, as well as Pretty Lights, Big Gigantic, Lee 123, Subtitle, Paper Diamond, Deathface and a couple more.
So yeah this needs to be downloaded right now, grab it, turn up your speakers and enjoy! Let’s hope Eliot has some newness cookin as last time I caught him at the Roxy in February the beats we’re sounding epic.
