A couple weeks back Starkey was over in the UK, and whilst he was in London he dropped by Mary Anne Hobbs’ show on BBC Radio 1, faced with quite a substantial challenge.
We challenged producer Starkey (fresh over from Philadelphia) to build us a track from scratch - using samples supplied by Radio 1 DJs, dubstep artists and listeners - and put it together during a live show broadcast from BBC Maida Vale.
The final product is nauseatingly good and it’s available for free to download! Having also heard the forthcoming single on Planet Mu, which includes the epic ‘Starting Gates’ and ‘Milennia’ on the B-side, it looks like the album is going to be worth keeping an eye out for…
