Seriously cannot believe they are giving this track away FOR FREE! I’ve had the Nosaj Thing - Drift Remixes EP released on Alpha Pup (again strength to strength and all that jazz) for a around a week now and it’s a more than solid release. However, Take’s remix of Light #1 was by far the most stand out track in my opinion and I’ve been giving it mad plays this past week, takes the original (which was also dope) to a whole new level of dopeness! Anyway LA Weekly are giving it away for free and if you don’t download it you are an idiot or you already have the release. Speaking of which, if you don’t you should go out and drop the pennies on the rest of the EP once you’ve had this track on repeat a fair few times while dancing around your room like a mad man! …but yeah to summarise I really like this song!

I might say this a lot, but I really mean it, Nosaj Thing has to be one of my favorite acts, period. The photo above I took at his live show in London last week, where we got to see once again possibly the best live act out there. His last album Drift has to be one of the strongest releases that Alpha Pup have put out and the man is going from strength to strength.

I heard about this remix project a little while back which is Drift - Remixed and will be dropping November 2nd on Alpha Pup. This is one of the tracks taken from it by the ever popular Jamie XX. Other re-mixers include Dntel, Teebs, Jon Hopkins and Dorian Concept. It’s an awesome remix and I’m dying to hear the full thing, not long to wait now though! (via)

Alpha Pup today relaunched their website for 2010 and so I felt it was relevant to post up one of the great tracks they have on offer on the site and one of my personal faves! I would already hope most of you have Nosaj Thing’s ‘Drift’ album, but if not here is one of it’s highlights, Coat of Arms’. Insane bass (try hearing this in plastic people on full blast, will almost shake your heart out of your mouth!) and an incredible track I think you’ll all agree.
