This is huge! Seriously the Sarah White bits I’ve posted since YSK started have been some of my favorite tracks, these new ones are no different! The J Todd remix was featured on YSK a few months back and is incredible, easily had 100 plays in my iTunes, but the others are all new to me and also top notch. Well worth checking out, nice way to end the weekend! Enjoy..

Download: Reggie B - She Knows
Reggie B has been popping up all over the shop in the last few weeks, it seems. I swear half the thing’s I’ve posted have featured him! Well here is a solo piece produced by the man Busy, it’s on a nice soulful tip for sure. The track is taken from his forthcoming album “The Traveler” coming soon on INnatesounds, stay tuned.

Download: WD4D - Post-Hyphy-Romanticrunk
Big boyyy riddims! All about the Choklate - The Tea (WD4D’s Spicey Chai Rmx), suuuuuper dope instrumentals as well, enjoy!
WD4D’s first release of 2010 finds him remixing some of Seattle’s best female talents. Choklate’s positive, self confident anthem, “The Tea” gets a big dose of the bounce treatment, while Lisa Dank’s ever so clever “Social Networking” gets some vocoded dial-up service. Last but certainly not least, the ladies of Canary Sing get an updated, glitched out slapper of a beat for their song “Freak Show”. For the dj’s, mc’s, and lovers of all things instrumental; the beats have been included with this release as well. Enjoy!

Download: J Rocc For Supreme - Take 2 Mixtape (.zip)
Here’s one for the crate-diggers and sample-hunters.
Following on from his performance at the Brainfeeder/RBMA/Fabric session last week, a mix from J Rocc mix has surfaced courtesy of NYC streetwear company Supreme. This mixtape has some tidy beat juggling (as you’d expect from an original member of the Beat Junkies) and a tasty selection of funk and soul classics you don’t hear everyday.
No tracklist as yet but holler at us on twitter if you can help with the track IDs!

Download: Bug - Cosmic Lab / 20 Winks
Found this in our inbox today and decided to have a listen this evening having not heard of Bug previously. It was a pleasure to hear some awesome drum beats alongside some lovely soulful jazzy sounds. I’ve actually had it on repeat a few times throughout the day since and am really into it now, I recommend you all check it out!

Download: AFTA-1 X Nikko - Chemical Reaction
Caught this on Moovmnt earlier on today and had to had a listen. Some soulful vibes over some funky beats by Afta-1 and Nikko! Download courtesy of Gas-d.

Download: Andrew Meza - We’re Not Happy With You (Black Athena Rescue) Mix
Really not much info on this but Andrew just posted up a link and the mix is FIRE. I’m a huge fan and have been since first hearing BTS Radio a few years ago, it also appears that on the 10th of January BTS comes back to life.. if you don’t know, get to know!

Download: The Clonious - Vienna (DJ mix)
One at a time by The Clonious has to be one of my favourite if not my favorite tracks of 2009. This mix showcases a remix of that track and plenty more gems. Enjoy!

Download: Jesse Boykins III - Amorous (AFTA-1 Love Mix)
Soulful vibes for a Monday from Jesse Boykins & AFTA-1. (via)
One of the highlights of Jesse Boykins III’s debut full length LP, The Beauty Created, “Amorous” has been remixed with love by AFTA-1.
Jesse describes the California-based producer as, “One of my favorite producers out! …Definitely a visionary when it comes to composition and sound construction. He finds ways to take you away from here without you having to even step out the door.”
BONUS: Also download the MeLo-X Remix or the Machine Drum Remix!

Download: J.Rocc - Secondhand Sureshots
When the guys at Dublab & Hit+Run hit up every dollar record bin in the Los Angeles area looking for album covers to salvage and repaint for their Secondhand Sureshots Deluxe Superset, they were left with one problem: what to do with the hundreds of discarded, sleeveless records that no one wanted?
Solution: Give them to J.Rocc.
This is an extension of the Secondhand Sureshots project, a J.Rocc mixtape made up of as many of the reject vinyl as he could manage. Given the working material, the results are impressive. Everyone who has ever flipped through a dollar bin might think twice the next time they pass up those multiple copies of Loggins & Messina, Hotel California, Linda Ronstadt in roller skates, and all those anonymous classical records after hearing what can be done with them.
Stones Throw is legendary and they have a dope podcast. I have been listening for a long ass while but for those who don’t know I suggest you check it out as it’s free and full of treats from all their artists! I had the pleasure of seeing J.Rocc a bunch of times whilst in LA and the man is about as awesome as it gets when it comes to spinning vinyl, enjoy!
