Take two of the things we missed. Now, I don’t know all that much about Photek, was never really a big fan drum and bass myself beyond the odd tune or artist. Tim, however, tells me he’s quite a big name and made some good music. He’s gone for more of a dubstep/brainfeeder sound on this new track of his and it works really well. I’m really feeling it, need to hear more stuff like this from him! (via)

Such a dope beat and with an amazing vocal sample to match, knew I had to get it up on here for you people to hear! When the vocal drops again at around the 1 minute mark… so good. Needs to be big this one!

Eliot Lipp - Goldeneye

Eliot Lipp is probably one of my favourite artists and Goldeneye 64 is probably one of my favourite games over any console, so when I saw the two together on XLR8R just now I knew I was in for a treat. Eliot Lipp made a track using sounds from the N64 version of Goldeneye which would be at home on any dancefloor… insane!

Baths’ debut album Cerulean dropped just a few days ago on Anticon so if you’ve not heard of him by now expect to hear a lot! I’ve been listening to the album a lot the past few days and then found this remix on XLR8R earlier today so had to let you know about it! This remix of Hall (one of my favourite tracks off teh album) features The Los Feliz Ladies Choir on vocals and sounds alot more organic then the original, which you can check here (.mp3).

it has the same slow-bubbling melodies, subtly tweaked vocal samples, and shuffling acoustic drum beat heard in many of Four Tet’s greatest songs.

…so nice!
