Our first podcast! We will be bringing you exclusive mixes from some dope artists and Djs.. for a Christmas present we bring to you episode 1 mixed by Bitesize Beats!

Bitesize Beats is a veteran mixmaker, starting out doing guest mixes for Ninja Tune’s legendary Solid Steel show in 2003, and has been played on XFM, BTTB and Electronic Explorations, among others. Styles have changed over the years from the early cut + paste hip-hop/breakbeat stuff to the more recent psychedelic beat journeys, also taking in electronics, dubstep, ambient, soul, downtempo etc (often in the space of a single mix). Mixes are constructed in Ableton, all tunes being cut up, rearranged, re-edited and layered to within an inch of their lives…
This mix is his pick of the year, the best of 2009’s beats, electronics, and space-age hip-hop - enjoy.

It’s safe to say it’s been a while since the last podcast, but you know, we’re trying to be select with who we bring to you! I am now very excited to announce podcast mix 4 from a friend of mine, the UK’s Pedestrian.

Having recently acquired plays from the likes of Gilles Peterson on Radio 1 and having recently remixed for top artists such as Commix, it’s safe to say 2010 is already turning out to be a big year for Pedestrian. The mix features plenty of exclusives from the likes of Commix, Sigha, Gang Colours as well as many more, Enjoy ‘Dance Music for Home Listening’.

It brings me great pleasure to announce the next mix in our podcast series, this time from Leonard Dstroy! A personal favorite of mine, Leonard Dstroy’s beats have been making waves over the last few years and we felt it was about time to get a mix in to showcase some of his own tunes as well as beats he is feeling.

For those wondering what he has been up to, well a lot is the answer to that - this includes signing with a new label and some new releases before the end of the year. We will of course fill you in when this information is ready to be dropped, but for now though if you are after more why not check out our archives for some dope free tracks. YSK EP 1 - Random World Generator

Our first EP has been a long time in the making and has been pushed back a few times due to moving houses, dissertations, new jobs and all that jazz, but it’s finally here! It should hopefully be the first of many releases as we’re are definitely trying to make it a regular thing. We have always been keen to showcase producers, MCs, bands, beat makers and general musicians who’s music we love and feel that you should know about! We hand picked all the artists on this EP and they are either up and coming in the scene or have recently become more established.
